Google.com is a top search engine all over the world without any doubts. Only Google has 77.98% search engine market share for desktop users while Bing has 7.81%, Baidu has 7.71%. Bing is a search engine of Microsoft Corporation (it is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington.) Bing was introduced by Microsoft to challenge Google in the area of search but it still did not manage to convince users in terms of quality search result.
Yahoo search has been powered by Bing since October 2011. It is the best email provider holding the third place in search engine. Yahoo is a web services provider owned by Verizon Communications through Oath Inc. and headquartered in Sunnyvale California. David Filo and Jerry Yang are the founders of Yahoo.
Few years before, Ask.com known as Ask Jeeves. It receive 3% of the search share. It is a question-answer based eBusiness and web search engine founded in 1996 by Garrett Gruener and David Warthen in Berkeley California. Apart from question answer format, it also has general search function but it lacks quality. It doesn’t give as quality answers of search query as Google or Bing gives.
